MITCHELL FAMILY CEMETERY
Located in Township 14 Rane 13, NE 1/4 of Section 5, on a wooded hill 1/2 mile east of Route 100, and 1/4 mile north of the new I-36. This land was purchased by Edward Mitchell in 1837.
A 6′ obelisk has names on four sides:

Ann E. Died 6 Feb 1866 40 Yr 8 Mo Wife of James E. Mitchell
Another obelisk was lying on its side, too heavy to turn over, so only 3 sides were read. And there was one other stone.
